On Thursday, July 5th, at approximately 8:10PM, the Monroe Fire Dept. was
dispatched mutual aid 1 Pumper/Tanker to the scene of a large mulch fire on Long
Meadow Rd. in the Tuxedo Fire District. The fire involved a large wood/mulch
fire estimated at approximately 40 - 50' high and sever hundred feet wide. Due
to the location of large amount of fire (inaccessible with handlines), Monroe's
Truck 538 (tower ladder) was additionally requested at approximately 10:30PM.
Monroe units assisted and operated in Tuxedo until approximately 2:30AM.
