On Friday November 5, 1999 at 5:10pm, the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported brush fire on County Rt 105. Upon arrival Monroe units found a brush fire sparked by a tree which was resting on live wires. Firefighters were unable to attack the fire until the powerlines were cut. Monroe Chief Terracino requested mutual aid one brush truck from Woodbury and Lakeside Fire Depts. to the scene, and one engine Harriman standby Monroe Station One.
