On Monday June 21, 1999 at 6:15 pm the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported rollover MVA with entrapment on Rt. 17 East by the Forest Rd. overpass. First arriving units found a rolled over cargo van with one occupant in the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle was airlifted to Westchester Trauma Center.
