On Thursday, November 12th, at approximately 1 PM, the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a Mutual Aid request for 1 Truck and 1 Engine to a structure fire at the Arden Conference Center. The Arden Conference Center, located in the Woodbury Fire District, included several buildings used as a Convention/Conference center by Columbia University. The entire center is situated in a remote location on a Mountain. Monroe FD responded and assisted Woodbury with Interior operations. The Monroe FD was also dispatched to an MVA only 2-3 minutes after the Mutual Aid dispatch. Engine 543 responded to the MVA.
