On Wednesday, April 16th, the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported trailer fire on Carter Ln. in the
Village of Kiryas Joel. Upon arrival, Asst. Chief Jeff Mahran established Command and advised units of a working fire in
a trailer. The trailer was a residential trailer currently used for storage and was ironically accross the street from a
Structure fire just 2 days before. Fire arriving units found heavy smoke pushing from the eves and heating vents of the
trailer. First due Engine 536 gained entry into the trailer, performed horizontal ventilation, and utlized an 1 3/4" line to
attack the fire. The fire was controlled within several minutes utilizing Engine 536 and Engine 543.
