Structure Fire Chestnut Circle

On Sunday, November 28th at approximately 7:21 PM, the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 9 Chestnut Circle in the Monroe Trailer Park. Upon arrival, Chief Terracino established command and advised units of a working structure fire with exposure problems. First due Engine 537 layed a supply line in from Rt.17m and began an interior attack on the structure. Engine 537 placed an 1-3/4" attack line into service with the interior team, and 2 more attack lines to protect the exposures. The fire had extended to the exposure 4 building and was now threatening the exposure 2 building. Interior crews quickly knocked down the fire and exterior crews were able to limit damage to the exposures.

Assisting at the scene were Harriman FD (F.A.S.T Team), Monroe Ambulance and Chester Ambulance (rehab/standby), and Orange County Fire Investigator FI5. Lakeside FD was on standby at Monroe Station One.
