On Sunday March 12th at approximately 11:25 PM, Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported Unknown Type fire in the area of Albert Ct. in the Village of Monroe. The caller was able to see a fire burning in the distance from this location. Monroe Chiefs were able to locate a secluded building burning deep in the woods off 17M. Chief Michael Terracino walked in from the new Monroe Ford site to the building and was able to locate an narrow dirt access road off of Industrial Park Rd. Due to the limited access, firefighters were only able to reach the fire with Monroe's Brush Truck M539. Monroe Command requested 1 Brush from Woodbury Fire Dept. and Orange County FI-9 to assist at the scene. Monroe was back in service by 2:00 AM.
