On Friday, May 30th, the Monroe Fire Dept. assisted several area Emergency Services with a Mock DWI MVA demonstration. The demonstration was attended by the Monroe-Woodbury Senior Class and was intended to show the dangers of drinking during Prom celebrations. The demonstration consisted of high school aged victims being extricated from the the vehicles by the Woodbury Fire Dept. Once out of the vehicle, Woodbury EMS and PD representatives worked on the victims. The Monroe Fire Dept. assisted with landing the Stat-Flite helicopter, which was used to add an even more realistic touch to the scenario.
