On Friday March 31, 2000 at 12:01pm, the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched by Orange County Fire Control (36-Control) for one Truck mutual aid to a structure fire in the Goshen Fire District. The fire occurred in a late 1800's balloon frame construction residence on Murray Ave. Monroe assisted with ventilation and overhaul operations. Truck 538 was back in service by 3:30 PM.
