On Sunday, November 2nd, at approximately 6 PM, the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a reported explosion on Nickelsburg Drive. Fire arriving Chief's found a multiple family building with windows that had blown out of one of the apartments. The apartment had recently been laquered and had exploded once the boiler had kicked on. Harriman Fire Dept. provided a Standby engine at Monroe's Station 1. Units were back in service at 7:30PM.
