On Friday May 26, 2000 at 5:30 pm the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to a serious MVA involving a motorcycle. The incident occurred on Orange Tpk. in the area of Fair Way Estates. The operator of the Motorcycle was seriously injured and airlifted to Westchester Trauma Center. Monroe Fire Dept. assisted with the landing of the Helicopter and at the scene while providing mutual aid to a Structure Fire in the Chester Fire Dist. Harriman Fire Dept. provided standby in Monroe's Station 1.
