On Sunday, August 31st, at approximately 8:15PM, the Monroe Fire Dept. was dispatched to Standby our quarters for a Structure Fire on Orion Drive. in the Town of Monroe (Lakeside Fire District). Upon arrival, Lakeside Car 1 (Chief Mike Lacey) found an occupied single family dwelling (bilevel) with heavy fire. Chief Lacey immediately requested Monroe's units to the scene. Monroe responded with Engine 543, Engine 537, and Truck 538. Engine 543's crew assisted with Interior Operations, Truck 538's crew handled Aerial Operations, and Engine 537 assisted in the tanker shuttle (location of the fire was in a non-hydrant area). Assistant Chief Jeff Mahran also assisted as Water Supply Command and Assistant Chief Tankasali assisted with Fire Ground operations.
